Colors

The Colors That Make me

Passionate Purple is the color that describes
passionate and caring
loyal and loving
a helping hand that somebody can reach out to.
But there’s a very sad part in me,
charcoal black, very dark
depressed and upset
mournful and deeply sad
sulking and sobbing, waiting for the pain to end.
They both have very different meanings,
yet, they are very, truly beautiful, and describe me.

Us Dorks in Foggia

To GC; or not to GC... that is not the question

George Carlin's* Solution to Save Gasoline

"Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use..... The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants!
That would be 11 million less people using our gas.

"The price of gas would come down..... Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the Border.... When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq .... Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military.....

"Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it..... After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country...... He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot......

"This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves......

"If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo..... Problem solved....."

*George Carlin

"Floating around the Internet these days, posted and e-mailed back and forth, are a number of writings attributed to me, and I want people to know they're not mine. Don't blame me.

Some are essay-length, some are just short lists of one and two-line jokes, but if they're flyin' around the Internet, they're probably not mine. Occasionally, a couple of jokes on a long list might have come from me, but not often. And because most of this stuff is really lame, it's embarrassing to see my name on it.

"And that's the problem. I want people to know that I take care with my writing, and try to keep my standards high. But most of this "humor" on the Internet is just plain stupid. I guess hard-core fans who follow my stuff closely would be able to spot the fake stuff, because the tone of voice is so different. But a casual fan has no way of knowing, and it bothers me that some people might believe I'd actually be capable of writing some of this stuff.

"HOW TO SPOT A FAKE Here's a rule of thumb, folks: Nothing you see on the Internet is mine unless it came from one of my albums, books, HBO shows, or appeared on my website. If you see something with my name on it, and you really need to find out if it's mine, post a question on my bulletin board . But only if it's really important to you; don't fuck around with me for a lark." GC website: retrieved 7/7/07 http://www.georgecarlin.com/home/home.html

The Visit

It's good to know that I have family eveywhere around the world, considering that now as I write this I am here in Foggia where most of the family is. I am enjoying the long stay here, speaking the language and getting along with everyone. My goal here is to spend time with the family and also try to find me a friend, if you know what I mean. I have circled the town of Foggia four or five times since my stay here, it is nice to see old villas everywhere, but after a while, it feels like home. If I really had a choice and also had something to live on, I would consider just staying, but as of right now, it seems to be going good when visiting every two years for two months at a time.
Well, this is an update from Foggia to let all of you Americans know how the stay is going over here in Foggia with my Foggian folks!!!!!! Take care all and I will keep everybody posted with whatever else is going on in days to come.

Family

Introducing Lauren Geades, one year old. Grand niece to Marinell and Zio Patrizio. Lives in Ft. Worth, TX and is charming as you can see.

Alicia and Randy Geades are her parents. Lauren's mother Alicia is Zio Patrizio's sister's daughter. I look into our wee ones' eyes, and see the universe reflected there, with all the stars and clusters of creation. As we gather next month we will once again be thrust into completion of many dreams.

Ola all in Italy and America,This is a brother-in-law to Marinella and uncle to Desiree and Patricio II. The Visconti boys are grafted nephews and I'll do some serious smash mouth on anyone who talks bad about them.

Now, I've been checking out Foggia with satellite and it looks a lot like Texas hill country. Pat Sr. tells me you make some serious wine there. We grow grapes in Texas now. It used to be only a native variety we call muscadine.

It looks like you could use some of the 2 or 3 feet of rain we have had in the past 2 months. Wish we could share. If I could round up all of our cousins from Dallas, Albuquerque, Wolf City, San Bernadino and Atlanta we might be able to be big enough for a challenge.

We tend to get scattered out over here in the 48 contiguous states. It's great knowing there is a family connection in the fine country of Italy. Maybe someday there will be a chance to congregate, if everyone focuses on it.

Families are the result of many conscious and unconscious actions throughout the history of mankind. The ones that persevere are special and destined to mark that history with their particular uniqueness and power of love.

If anyone who is in the aura of this blog wants to go see a movie, play a round of golf, go fishing or just hang out with the senior sibling of Pat,Sr. just raise your hand or send out a 10/4 good buddy on that.

I'm missing all of you and want to feel that Harra wind blow my skin dry.

Well, I'll grill some steak and shrimp in honor of all of you out there. This week-end we celebrate the independence struggle of, what I feel is the country that gives everyone a chance to live, worship and strive to be all they are capable of and it all came together with a gathering of people from such equally great places as Foggia, Italy.Love and ciao to all, DPD

A Value Proposition:

Listen Up Everyone!!!!

I have been fully graduated, and now am smart. Just like Vinnie. So here it is: the connection we share is our spouses' brothers and sisters. The Ruggiero is broad and wide, and doesn't take any shit!

The Darnells' are wide, not as broad, and don't take any shit either; and The Visconti boys don't take any of that shat either.

That's three like-minded family groups! That makes a stable base for a foundation: Team Ruggiero-Darnell-Visconti.

So on that foundation we build our imperatives.

• Family loyalty
• Family harmony
• Family-building Industry
• Family Commerce
• Family Desire to be together

Do you like what I'm saying? Well it all starts with Value Proposition. For instance we delve into the dynamics of our inherited value by asking the right questions:

How do we stay in touch within family developments as a group involved with daily family building here and there?

Who are the leaders?

Who are the side-kicks?

When do we meet?

When do we consult?

What is our commerce?

What is our quality requirement?

Why are we meeting?

......and so on.

Do you understand the early and later benefits of this idea? I should hope so. We must involve each other to get each other to where we want each other to be.

In that context we have to find who is willing, and ask the questions, "What is it you desire? When do you want it to happen? Where is it you think you need to be? Who is it you desire to be with? How do you think it will best be done? and Why is it your desire?"

Some at first will be more involved than others, whilst later others will fill in the gaps that meed attention; and before we all know it: Team RDV is borne.

We have tried several approaches, they all have worked well. Now we consolidate our efforts, and come up with "The Team System" that winnows out the unnecessary stuff, and builds on our already substantial foundation of resource... eh?

Who you looking at? Okay. Badda Bing: Baddda Booonm!

Who's your Daddy? >>PD fin.

In Italian:

Così su quel fondamento sviluppiamo i nostri imperativi.

Why a Pig in a Cow? Barbecue, that's why...

My friends, Romans, countrymen, truth is stranger than fiction:

On the menu in the Roman Peace era past -- Pax Romana -- Romans would stuff a chicken with a duck, a goose with the stuffed chicken --and stuff a Pig with the three nested fowls.

Then what? Of course the Pig was stuffed in a Cow. This was cooked over the pit, and well, there you have the link that connects MooPig with the days of Jesus. It's called Barbecue! PD

In Italian:

PD

It's Face Smashing Time

From Daddy Patrick

All of you Mugs over there should be writing your Trip Logs. You must stay disciplined even though you are being treated like royalty...

Don't make me have to smash your faces when I get there!

I have zero tolerance for any of the Darnell/Visconti delegation gaining unnecessary pounds. I don't care if the women of Foggia cook like Angels. I don't care if the men of Foggia make wine that is the blood of Christ. You will by the balls of Zeus, not gain weight!

Don't do as I do, do as I say do. I want a complete log of what you are eating and drinking by the time I get there; so I can eat all that right after I arrive, and catch up with you all!

Signed: your ever loving Thing >> Daddy

Two Months Later... Post graduation

While I spend all this time up here in Foggia I realize that I need to be speaking the language that my knuckles show. So in the two months that I'm here, I am spending time with the whole family pasting parts and pieces of my broken Italian together to complete a full sentence or what not.
I am starting to get a hang of the time and some other stuff, by spending time with most of the cousins and by hanging out with my Aunt and Uncle, the ones we are staying with. VV

In English:
Hello, my name is GiGi. If you keep looking at me I will send my brother Antonio and my Cousins Vincenzo and Gaetano to you house. After they visit you will have no reason to look at me anymore.

You will notice that our huge family extends from Foggia to America. Ruggiero is a great family, and could after all be to much for you. Therefore don't look at us for long. We are so large a family we are not much interested in other people.

That approximates your visit to our web site. Now, don't forget your hat as you leave.

Mom!

Persino vedete i fantasmi italiani.

In English:

"I strongly suggest you not look into the red eye of my little brother." If you do not heed this warning, you may fall to the curse. If you do not keep your distance, you will join the realm of the living dead. And you will call: Mom!

When you do look too long into the red eye, you will see Italians everywhere, and their ghosts, lots of Italians Ghosts.

Sometimes little brother transforms into a child Italian-American ghost, pictured here. Then he gives you the chin, and you are a mental case. It all starts with his red eye.

So beware and study the living dead pictured below. Study the walking, completely dead man living who looked too much into the red eye of the child.

I ragazzi mangiano Foggia

Buon giorno, Pato-figlio dello zio

In English:

Hello Italians -- I will arrive there 10 July 2007 with my great ass. Then I will proceed to eat Foggia, and then Bari. I hope you men will join me in eating Foggia on adventures of consumption. I know that you will try to eat me, since you will see I am so fat and juicy -- you will probably try to barbecue me.

But I will resist and probably eat you first even though you are thin men. Therefore: Will you receive me favorably in your homes? I hope you have plenty of things to eat, and lots to drink. If you hide the food, I will eat your clothes.

Texans love to eat. If you do not understand, I will give you a lesson when I arrive. Happy day to my family abroad. Pato-son, zio
